| Dressage Welcome to 15+ Dressage During 2010 we will stage an exciting Dressage Series for all horses and ponies aged 15 years & above. Dates are >>HERE<< The dressage competitions will cover – Walk/trot tests, Preliminary, Novice & Elementary levels. Dressage classes can be incorporated into existing classes by asking the competitors to wear a coloured armband. • Qualifier • Rubare Dressage Series The ‘Rubare’ Dressage Series has been dedicated by his owner Diane Drysdale to encourage the older horse/pony to ‘have a go’ and enjoy dressage. Rubare was a fabulous 15hh Chestnut gelding who was a successful racehorse in his day, who Diane had proudly owned for 20 years. He sadly died at the age of 30. He was a relatively complicated horse to ride and enjoyed all equine activities. He learned to jump at the grand age of 17 years and started to do local hunter trials for fun. His forte was showing and hunting. He also tried dressage in his own fashion but due to rules and regulations regarding tack we found it difficult to fit in. In 1999 Rubare was National reserve Champion in the Super Solvitax Veteran of the Year at the age of 26. Wishing you all good luck during 2009 and look forwards to seeing and hearing from you.
